Thanks for your comment. I appreciate thoughtful debate with those who claim the F label. No one has ever taken me up on the offer thus far.

Palin hasn't ever rejected feminism. In most interviews she claims to be a feminist, even in the infamous Katie Couric interview. Feminists have largely reject her and represent most of the misogyny towards women, particularly conservative women. Just look at how HuffPo has treated Brown's daughters this week. Click here to read my post on how Feminists have treated Palin. Many mainstream Feminist bloggers and writers called her extremely derogatory names that would have gotten any man fired for uttering. Click here to read more about my issues with Feminism.

There's Feminism (special interests, we're victims, abortion on demand) and there's feminism (equality among sexes). Palin represents feminism, which as been largely accepted by society. Capitol "F" Feminism or gender Feminism, is what the right rails against. Few understand the distinction, but it explains the problems that the Feminist gals have in achieving their goals. Identity politics never work because they depend on arbitrary government regulations and quotas to make them succeed, and they are constantly changing. Society can't work that way.

I think it has to be clear to everyone that Palin is a feminist, but isn't she the one who backed away from the label after getting smacked down by the McCain people? I'm progressive and a feminist and don't see how Palin can be labeled anything else, even though she is not pro-choice. My bigger question is why doesn't Palin embrace the term?
