I just found out about it since I was offline most of the weekend. I've stayed out of Tea Party inner-politics because it's really messy and confusing.

Honestly, the Tea Party "official" organizations aren't that big of a deal. There's a ton of them, and they all fight each other for donations and support. Tea Parties are such a widespread, grassroots movement that one person can't reflect on the entire group. I think this is a situation of the Beltway not understanding the true movement and blowing it out of proportion.

Try again, Mike.

I know I'm not allowed to comment on your blog, but don't you think that in light of the National Tea Party Federation expulsion of the Tea Party Express because of the inflammatory blog post its leader, Mark Williams, wrote last week responding to criticism from the NAACP, that this post needs an update or correction?

The NAACP does seem vindicated in their calling out elements of the Tea Party (as such that it a party) for being racist.
